How Artsmix Works: Using The Network

Posting to the General Opportunities Board

  1. Click on "network" in the main menu.
  2. In the forum select "new topic" from the tabs at the top. A page with a new topic form will be displayed.
  3. Select "--General Opportunities Board" from the Category drop down.
  4. Select the "Subject" box and enter a descriptive title for your opportunity - something that says where, when and what you want to do!
  5. Select the "Message" box. This is where a more detailed description of the opportunity should go. More details about venue, times, age-range etc.
  6. Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

You will be able to find and check on your post by looking under the "My Topics" tab at the top of the forum. Also, if you select the tick box "Subscribe" when you create the post, you will be notified of any replies to your posts.

Replying to a post

First you need to find one by browsing either the "General Opportunities" or "Group profile" section (selectable from the "index" tab in the forum).

To Reply click the "Reply" button directly under the original post (this is the post the the top the a particular thread). Then fill out a Message box and click the submit button underneath the message box.

Posting an opportunity to a specific Group Profile

First you need to find one by browsing "Group profile" section (selectable from the "index" tab in the forum).

Creating a Group Profile

  1. Click on "network" in the main menu.
  2. In the forum select "new topic" from the tabs at the top (A new topic might not seem intuitive to make a profile but don't worry!).
  3. Select "--Group Profiles" from the Category drop down.
  4. Select the "Subject" box and enter the name of your group - it would be good if your group name had some relationship to the types of clubs you'd prefer to be involved in.
  5. Select the "Message" box. This is where a more detailed description of your group should go, interests and previous experiences etc. Remeber: DO NOT ENTER ANY PERSONAL DETAILS (E-MAIL, PHONE NUMBER ETC).
  6. Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

You will be able to find and check on your profile post by looking under the "My Topics" tab at the top of the forum. Also, if you select the tick box "Subscribe" when you create the post, you will be notified of any replies to your posts.
